The confusion, addressed honestly
The anxiety sounds like: "EEE means government electrical jobs or nothing — private core is dead." That understates where hiring actually moved: power electronics, drives, automation, EV systems, and industrial controls still take freshers who can show lab ownership. A switchgear internship certificate without what you measured is weak; a motor-drive project, PLC sequence you commissioned, or energy-audit notebook is concrete. Software pivots are possible, but they're earned with projects — not by erasing EEE from the résumé. Name the domain you practiced; vague "interested in core/software" reads as undecided.
