Backend Developer
Owns services, data models, and APIs that power products at scale.
What recruiters actually look for
Backend interviews probe correctness under edge cases: auth, data integrity, failure modes, and basic performance. Talk about latency, retries, and how you tested — not only “built REST APIs.” Wasted effort: listing every language without one service you can draw. A small API with tests, schema decisions, and a production-ish deploy is stronger than course assignments. Fresher bar is clarity of thinking, not FAANG-scale design.
